July 31, 2021:
A wonderful afternoon with my new friend Deb. Her and I met through our online Glioblastoma wives/widows support groups… her sweet hubby Jeff passed in January as well, just a few days before Ed. We connected in the spring and quickly realized we have a lot of other things in common besides what our families have been through… we’ve both run many marathons and she also qualified for the Boston marathon in Eugene years back just like me. We both enjoy watching soccer and had a great time at the match despite the Sounders loss. I’m thankful for her and that we can talk about and understand what each other is going through and has been through. Thanks Deb for going to the game with me. Cheers to new friendships.
