November 5, 2020:
Ed and I spent a couple nights with our dear friends at their home, little did we know it would be our last outing together. The week prior I had noticed some memory and confusion changes with Ed and a lot less strength in both his legs making it almost impossible for him to stand, let alone walk, even with assistance. But we really wanted to make this two night stay happen and so we did. It was very tough both physically and mentally for all of us but we're so thankful we had that special time with our friends. Ed has "Ed's room" all made up for him and we got to kick back and relax while our friends, who are like family, spoiled us with food, cozy blankets, hot tea, and amazing conversations and time together. We love you Mark and Andrea so much, thank you for being such an important and loving part of our life... can't imagine life without you.
