Happy Anniversary + September Updates

September 6, 2019

Movie date night with the hubby to see Britney Runs A Marathon... very funny and inspirational movie... at one point I laughed so hard that I accidentally snorted super loud, so embarrassing! Didn’t expect it to also be emotional for us. Ed and I have both run the NYC marathon and each had our own special experiences which we’ll treasure forever. For Ed now, a marathon victory looks like a single walking lap around a track, and we celebrate that. We will always be each other’s cheerleaders no matter what the victories are, big and small. And another great reminder to keep digging deep when things get ugly and never give up. Thanks for the date night honey, I love you so much! #lifeisamarathon #embracethecrisis #digdeepgetugly

September 13, 2019 post from Ed

Found this quote and instantly thought of my birthday girl Jenn - "The women I love and admire for their strength and grace did not get that way because shit worked out. They got that way because shit went wrong and they handled it. They handled it a thousand different ways on a thousand different days, but they handled it. Those women are my superheroes." - Elizabeth Gilbert. My wife (happy birthday) is in this class of heroes!

Once upon a time I met this guy at the Art Institute of Seattle, we were friends during our two years at art school, each of us in other relationships. I admired his personality, his creativity, his charm, and his sexy legs. We graduated, broke up with the people we were dating, realized we needed to be together, and got married two years later, just a day after I turned 23. We haven’t traveled the world but we sure have had some amazing adventures and crazy fun chapters, and we’ve created a very special little fam together. We haven’t done everything right, whatever that means, but we’ve been by each others side for everything. Cheers to us both deciding to go to art school, best decision ever. Happy 23 years married honey, love you so much - thanks for being my person. #lovestory #insicknessandinhealth

It’s infusion day. This is Ed’s third infusion of Avastin. We are hoping and praying that his next MRI on October 10th shows that swelling has been reduced and that there’s no significant tumor growth. The infusion has him pretty tired most days and it also affects his voice some. My warrior.

A busy, beautiful two days. Time with our son in Bellingham and a cherished weekend getaway with our dear friends. I had my bestest cheerleader right there, cheering for me at the start and waiting for me at the finish. Love you so much honey. #wingman #mywingman #embracethecrisis
